Practical tips

Per requirement: one sentence for the boss, three to five down-to-earth steps, typical pitfalls, the right evidence, effort, ownership and tool suggestions — open source first.

Maturity 0–4

Ratings from 0 (not implemented) to 4, with maturity per topic area and overall — and a radar chart that makes gaps visible at once.

A report you can hand over

Management summary, gap analysis, all open requirements in full and complete detail pages. IT service providers add their firm, logo and accent colour — the report goes to clients without rework. CSV export included.

Multiple assessments

Check several businesses, or the same business year after year. Each assessment carries its own company details; the comparison shows the progress.

Fully offline

No account, no cloud, no tracking. Face ID / Touch ID lock optional. Everything stays on your device, backup as a portable file.

DAT-11 · What it looks like

"Back up your data regularly." Fine — how?

The requirement tells you what is expected. Every requirement in the app also carries this:

For the management Without a current backup, a broken computer or a ransomware attack costs you weeks of work — regular backups are the cheapest insurance your business can buy.
01

Determine which data your business cannot afford to lose: accounting, customer and order data, e-mail — including what is stored in cloud services.

02

Set the interval based on how many days of work you can afford to lose at most — at least weekly, and preferably daily if you work with data every day.

03

Set up the backup so that it runs automatically — manually started backups get forgotten in day-to-day business.

04

Designate one person to regularly check the backup success reports and follow up on errors immediately.

Switch language, keep your work.

The check's original German plus four translations — changeable at any time, not tied to the system language. Translations are marked as unofficial in the app.
